THETA (<\/strong>\u0398<\/strong>, <\/strong>\u03b8<\/strong>) \u2014 the Greek TH in English<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Sound<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    Theta<\/strong> represents the voiceless \u201cth\u201d<\/strong> sound, as in:<\/p>

    • think<\/strong><\/li>
    • theatre<\/strong><\/li>
    • theory<\/strong><\/li>
    • method<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

      It is not<\/em> t<\/strong>, not<\/em> d<\/strong>, and not<\/em> f<\/strong>.
      It is breath passing between<\/strong> tongue and teeth.<\/p>

      That matters.<\/p>
