The Geometry of Time and Engraving<\/strong><\/p>

  1. The Shape: The Hourglass<\/strong> The letter X<\/strong> is the ultimate representation of an Hourglass<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>
    • The Upper Section:<\/strong> The Past, emptying its contents.<\/li>
    • The Lower Section:<\/strong> The Future, continuously filling.<\/li>
    • The Point of Contact (The Intersection):<\/strong> This is the Present<\/strong>. An infinitesimal moment, a tiny “aperture” through which time flows. The “now” is the exact spark where the future is instantaneously transformed into the past.<\/li><\/ul>
      1. The Sound and the Act of Engraving:<\/strong> The sound of X<\/strong> (Chi) mimics the sound produced by Engraving<\/strong> (scratching a surface). To write, one must first engrave.<\/li><\/ol>
        • Chaos (<\/strong>\u03a7\u03ac\u03bf\u03c2<\/strong>):<\/strong> The vast expanse, the “gaping” void (chasko<\/em>).<\/li>
        • Chara \/ Joy (<\/strong>\u03a7\u03b1\u03c1\u03ac<\/strong>):<\/strong> The release of the soul, the light that “breaks” (charazei<\/em>) the darkness.<\/li>
        • Cheir \/ Hand (<\/strong>\u03a7\u03b5\u03af\u03c1<\/strong>):<\/strong> The primary tool of engraving; the hand.<\/li><\/ul>
          1. The English Connection:<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>
            • Character:<\/strong> That which is “engraved” within our personality.<\/li>
            • Chaos:<\/strong> The primordial void.<\/li>
            • Chronology:<\/strong> The study of time (Chronos<\/em>).<\/li>
            • Christ:<\/strong> The Anointed One (Christos<\/em>).<\/li>
