Προς τους Φιλέλληνες
Αν αγαπάτε την Ελλάδα, δεν αγαπάτε απλώς έναν τόπο· αγαπάτε έναν τρόπο να σκέφτεται κανείς.
Η ελληνική γλώσσα δεν είναι κειμήλιο· είναι εργαλείο ακρίβειας, μουσικής και ελευθερίας.
Όσοι την πλησιάζετε από άλλη γλώσσα, δεν είστε «επισκέπτες».
Είστε συνοδοιπόροι σε μια παράδοση που δεν ζητά λατρεία, αλλά κατανόηση.
Εδώ δεν θα βρείτε εθνική υπερηφάνεια·
θα βρείτε γλωσσική διαύγεια.
Κι αν κάποτε νιώσετε ότι μια λέξη σας κοιτά πίσω —
μην απορήσετε.
Οι λέξεις θυμούνται.

To love Greece is not merely to admire a land;
it is to recognize a way of thinking.
The Greek language is not a relic.
It is a structure of clarity, rhythm, and intellectual freedom.
If you approach it from another linguistic tradition,
you are not an outsider.
You are participating in a dialogue that began long before borders.
This space does not seek admiration.
It invites awareness.
And if, at some point, a word seems to look back at you —
do not be surprised.
Greek words tend to remember.

Aimer la Grèce, ce n’est pas seulement aimer un pays ;
c’est reconnaître une manière de penser.
La langue grecque n’est pas un vestige.

Si vous l’approchez à partir d’une autre langue,
vous n’êtes pas étrangers.
Vous entrez dans un dialogue ancien.
Ici, nous ne cherchons pas l’admiration.
Nous cherchons la conscience.
Et si un mot vous semble soudain vous regarder en retour —
ne soyez pas surpris.
Les mots grecs ont de la mémoire.
