QUANTUM
What does Quantum mean?
The word Quantum means "how much" in Latin. In Quantum Physics, it refers to the smallest possible unit of something.
A quantum of energy is a tiny packet, a minimum building block. You can’t break it into smaller pieces.
For example, a photon is a quantum of light — the smallest "dot" of light that can exist. You either get a photon or none at all.
Big idea: Nature doesn’t always flow smoothly. Sometimes, it moves in tiny jumps — like a staircase instead of a slide.
