Bohr’s Complementarity
In quantum physics, each particle has a dual nature: It can act like a particle or a wave
But never both at the same time.
Each view "cancels" the other.
This is called the Principle of Complementarity, by Niels Bohr
“Seemingly opposite properties are not contradictory — but complementary.”
Just like in life:
We are not only logical or emotional, bright or dark.
We are all of these — at different times.
Heraclitus had said it long before:
“Opposition brings harmony — the most beautiful arises from differences.”
Unity is born from contrast.
And light is meaningful because darkness exists.
Thought Exercise Can you think of a contradiction inside you that might not be a contradiction — but a complement?
(e.g., "I’m both shy and brave, depending on the moment")
